Africa. Many have an opinion about it or dream of a journey through this vast continent where nature rules supreme. Damp rain forests, dusty savanna and the mysterious Sahara. On our trip through North and West Africa the lives of the colorful and creative people we met made a great impression.

With our old Landcruiser 'Rusty' we made our own journey of discovery in Africa. Wild animals in the dry Sahel countries, a meeting with a swarm of bees and living between friendly Muslims. About these and other adventures you can read everything in our travel reports. Furthermore future travellers can get an idea of the necessary preparations for such a long trip and everybody who wants to daydream can share our joy.
Our journey would not have been realized without the efforts of Mari, Thea and Jurgen Engelbert, Geert and the co-workers of Car Recycling Company Engelbert, Hanneke Hooydonk and the support of our good friends.

With Mari (to the right) and Geert Engelbert (to the left) we worked many weekends on Rusty!
